When MyTripulo invited me to discover Central Sulawesi, I had a feeling this trip would be different. What I didn’t expect was just how untouched, raw, and soul-stirring this part of Indonesia would be.
Our adventure began in Luwuk, a quiet starting point that led us to the remote Banggai Islands. After a scenic journey to Salakan, we reached one of Indonesia’s hidden wonders: Paisu Pok Lake.
Despite heavy rainfall, Paisu Pok didn’t lose its magic. Known as the clearest lake in the world, its waters were so transparent that even the grey skies couldn’t cloud its beauty. The mist gave the area a mystical vibe — as if the lake had secrets only the clouds could understand.
We continued on to explore Pompom Beach, Mandel Beach, and Poganda Beach. Each one had its own rhythm, unpolished and real. No resorts. No noise. Just nature, the ocean, and the occasional friendly local who greeted us with curiosity and a smile.
Food always tells a story — and here, it spoke of freshness, spice, and tradition. From grilled fish caught that same morning to rich local coffee, every bite was a celebration of the region’s simplicity and depth.
What makes Central Sulawesi so unforgettable isn’t just the landscapes — it’s the people. In a region where tourism hasn’t diluted authenticity, human connection becomes the highlight. Encounters feel genuine. Smiles linger longer.
This wasn’t the kind of trip filled with staged moments or predictable sights. It was real, raw, and unforgettable — and I’m so grateful to MyTripulo for making it happen. Sometimes, the places you know the least about are the ones that leave the deepest impression.
